Howard Benz

Howard Benz is a managing director in the Fixed Income Strategies group at Raymond James. Howard’s previous experience in valuing closely held depositories serves him well in determining strategies that improve franchise value.

His responsibilities include evaluating balance sheets and identifying strategies to mitigate clients’ interest rate risk positions while improving earnings and managing liquidity. He co-created The Optimal Solution, which is used to enhance customer portfolios. After analyzing thousands of bonds, this tool is designed to select the optimal combination of securities to enhance return without exceeding customers’ policy limits.

Howard is a graduate of the University of Mississippi with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. He received a Master of Business Administration degree from Christian Brothers University. He holds three professional licenses – Series 7, 24 and 63.
